The ongoing projects include an agriculture value chain augmentation initiative and the development of a 1,500 unit affordable student housing project.

Michael Edinam Akpakli

Edinam has expertise in financial markets, consumer goods, and consulting in Africa.
He has served as FX Trader & Analyst at Barclays in Ghana & South Africa where he covered Kenya, Nigeria & Zambia. As FX Trader he managed the desk’s ~$60million FX Swap & Forwards portfolio.
Prior to trading, Edinam served as a project manager at Barclays where he worked on various cost savings and revenue generation projects including the Hearts of Oak Initial Public Offer (IPO), Branch Rationalization project, fraud prevention projects, and an electronic trading initiative.

He worked as Senior Consultant and Head of Operations at the renowned Ghana-based advisory firm Konfidants, which advises African companies and governments. Selected projects Edinam led at Konfidants include, the Ecobank Fintech Challenge, & market studies on a 14-acre real estate development in Ghana worth ~$150million.
Edinam has a passion for cross-border business in Africa and has run the Djondo Fellowship’s Executive Program in Multinational and Cross-border Management in collaboration with the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (Africa’s leading Business School).

As the co-founder of SHED management service, he brought MINISO into Ghanaian market and managed MINISO Ghana as General President.

I-Hsin Chen is a serial entrepreneur who has extensive experience in importing and exporting businesses, consumer goods, and technology.
She worked as the Area Trade Line Manager for Maersk Ghana, managing six West African countries (Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Mauritania). She supported logistics activities and freight-forwarding tasks for large-scale infrastructural projects across the region, with a total project valuation of USD$1.8B and managed trading businesses between China and West Africa.

She is co-founder of an L.A based Virtual Reality (VR) start-up, which she launched the Taiwan office. I-Hsin is part of the WELA program (Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa) in CEIBS and has access to the CEIBS Alumni network in Ghana and China. She is column writer for Crossing magazine, sharing Africa’s business opportunities with Mandarin readers.

As the co-founder of SHED management services, she brought MINISO into the Ghana market and managed Miniso Ghana as Merchandise & Franchise Manager.
